Farming life has been keeping us quite busy since we’ve been living up here. First up we took delivery of 15 x 6 month old wener steers which are now happily helping keep the grass down in our paddocks. Daryl has also been doing a fair amount of topping and fertilising with his Dad lending a hand while he was doing extra runs. We also built a support for the deck of Noel’s truck and our grape bin as we prepared to haul grapes for the harvest season.
While all this was going on our new neighbour arrived and proceeded to hire a digger and truck to work on improving and widening our shared driveway. We lent a hand (or tractor to be more precise) with pulling out posts, ramming them back in (with a post rammer) and re-fencing where the posts were shifted. We also managed to decrease our giant mountain of clay from behind the house by donating some to build up the driveway.
